WHEN IS THE SLYC OPEN?
Do you enjoy working with teens? Do you have a specialized skill that you want to teach to young people? Do you like to mentor or lead small group discussions on important topics and issues? If you answered yes to any of those questions, are able to pass a background check, and have some free time, please consider applying as a volunteer at the Saranac Lake Youth Center! Just call Aleacia at the center at 518-891-5846 to request an application or stop by and check us out during open hours. We hope to hear from you!
The Saranac Lake Youth Center follows the Saranac Lake Central School District calendar during the school year. The center is open on weekdays from 2:30 - 6:00 pm while summer hours vary each year. The Director is available by appointment outside of operating hours. Please call 518-891-5846 to set up an appointment.
Another way to help the youth center is by donating good condition items that you no longer want. We could use office supplies like regular copy paper, binder clips, and envelopes. We are always in need of toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, hand soap, hand sanitizer and Clorox cleaning wipes, especially during the cold/flu season. You can view the complete list on the Wish List page.
